Oooh! Thank you for sharing:-) Your blog is so educational lately. I've had my eye on some beautiful roving on Etsy, but I've been telling myself not to buy it until I learn to spin yarn. But then there's this...hmmm...

Lovely tutorial! Almost exactly how I make my felted beads...I like how you roll the roving up though in the beginning. I roll very gently on bubble wrap for a little bit before switching to my hands. The one issue I always have is making the beads the same size over and over - yours look so perfect sized!

ps. thanks for your kind comments on my kitty story :)

Could you tell me where you purchase your wool, the details of what kind it is, and do you hand dye it??? I love the blue/green color from one of your other post. Thank you!

I get my wool roving from all over the world! Google "merino wool roving" and you will see the wonderful variety available :)

Thanks for the tutorial! I am trying to figure out how to put a hole in the wool bead so that I can string it on to a felted wool cord. Do I wait until they are dry or do it while they are wet?

@thismama

I always string mine on steel cable using a sharp embroidery needle, I do this when they are dry. Good luck!
