Lovely tutorial! Almost exactly how I make my felted beads...I like how you roll the roving up though in the beginning. I roll very gently on bubble wrap for a little bit before switching to my hands. The one issue I always have is making the beads the same size over and over - yours look so perfect sized!

Could you tell me where you purchase your wool, the details of what kind it is, and do you hand dye it??? I love the blue/green color from one of your other post. Thank you!
Thanks for the tutorial! I am trying to figure out how to put a hole in the wool bead so that I can string it on to a felted wool cord. Do I wait until they are dry or do it while they are wet?

ReplyDeleteI get my wool roving from all over the world! Google "merino wool roving" and you will see the wonderful variety available :)

ReplyDeleteI always string mine on steel cable using a sharp embroidery needle, I do this when they are dry. Good luck!
