Handmade Portrait - Mimi Kirchner

I have been seeing Mimi around at various Boston area craft shows for over a year now, but didn't really take a closer look until I started reading her completely delightful Tweets! It's funny what will finally bring someone fabulous to your attention even if they've been right in front of you all along. Now she is featured in a sweet video series on Etsy and I wanted to share it with you!

  1. I am thrilled and charmed by this video. It is so inspiring to see an artist working, telling how she arrived at certain ideas.

    The dolls are magnificent.

Delighted you put this on your blog.

  2. Liz -- I love this video of Mimi's creative history. The dolls are so colorful and each unique in its own way. Her idea, too, that art should elicit an emotional response also rings true for writers. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love reading your blog!

We're planning to move to the east coast and are seriously considering Boston, or somewhere outside of it. Drop me a note if you ever want to share you insights on the art community in that area. I'd really appreciate it.
